Born in Belize and migrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1981. Denzil Belisle’s father, Louis Belisle was a renowned artist in Belize. He has been studying under the tutelage of master artist Otto Neals at the Dorsey Art Gallery workshop. Belisle works in oil, watercolor, pastel, and graphic color pencil, painting subjects such as seascapes, landscapes and figures.
